Hi, my name is Emerald. Let’s get to know each other.

I’m a project manager, outdoor content editor, and career coach with a background in the outfitting and guiding industry.

Born and raised in Idaho, I fell in love with the Salmon River at age four and have been trying to get the sand out of my hair ever since. After a decade of whitewater and fly fish guiding, I hung up my fly rod and waded into a career as an outdoor writer, nonprofit professional, and project manager—all while retaining my community of adventurers and outdoorsy identity.

I believe in building a professional life that feel great on the inside, not just one that looks “cool” on the outside.

I now help others:

1) Chart their own path through (and sometimes out of!) outdoor seasonal careers, focusing relentlessly on values alignment and meaningful work.

2) Tell their outdoor and conservation story along the way, helping connect us through our shared experiences.

I have a relationship-first approach to what I do and would love to discuss working with you on your next endeavor.
